Maple Confectioner

Mansfield Maple Mansfield Maple Winooski, VT Winooski, VT Full-time Full-time From $18 an hour From $18 an hour 7 days ago 7 days ago 7 days ago It's time to quit that job you work 5 days a week and hate, and start a job you will work 4 days a week and love! That's right, we have a hybrid 4 day work week.
Hybrid because from January to September we work 4 days a week and from September to through December during our busy season we work 5 days a week.
How does this work:
January - September:
7am to 4:
30pm Mon-Thurs.
(36 hours worked, get paid for 40).
September - December:
7am to 4:
30pm Mon-Thurs and 7am to 1:
30pm Fri.
(42 hours worked, and 6 of those hours are at time and half overtime rate) Why are we doing this? Mansfield Maple is busy all year round, but we are extra busy during the holiday season.
While it's a little slower from January through September, we decided that a better employee work/life balance was warranted so we implemented a 4 day 36 hour week, and when things get crazy going into the holidays, we'd rather rely more on our core team to get the extra work done.
So, we switch to a 5 day 42 hour week, and pay you more for your efforts! What would you do with a 3 day weekend, almost every week!? This hybrid work week model is a new program we are trialing, and at the end of this year we hope to make it permanent! For the last two months it's been working out great so far.
